In this 2 day willow basketry workshop participants will be able to make their own personal rib basket from two willow hoops. Anne will show how to make the hoop but will also bring a supply of hoops to use as they can be tricky to make. One for the handle and one for the rim, from which we will build the frame of the basket. It can be woven in traditional or random technique, that will be the participants choice. Anne has over 20 year’s experience in teaching willow basketry. We are excited to have her join us at this year’s festival.
Material fee: 35€ to be paid directly to Anne at the festival. We will finalize the material cost by the festival.
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: Open to all levels.
Minimum age: 16 years old
Workshops start after our morning circle around 9:30 am and end around 5 or 6 pm.
Anne's courses are in Danish and English.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
