This introduction course is a great way to get a taste for what it’s like to forge hot metal into small usable pieces. The class will have a flexible format for students to bring an idea or choose a small project to complete like a bottle opener, wall hook, fire poker or decorative feature. If you have been curious to try forging but are intimidated by the larger projects (tho you should try those too!) this is a great opportunity.
Material costs: 5-10€ depending on materials used.
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: Open to All Levels!
Minimum age: 12 years old.
Afternoon workshops start after our lunch break around 2:00pm (14:00) and end around 5 or 6pm.
Martha's speaks German and some English.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
