Explore the craft of carving letters and numbers into stone — a practice rooted in tradition and used to mark places, names, and moments in time. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of form, spacing, and rhythm while creating something both personal and lasting.
You'll need a small sandstone slab, 4 tools, and your text for the day.
I'll bring the slab and tools; you bring the text.
Whether it's a house sign, a keepsake, poetry, or a saying, feel free.
However, I do have one caveat:
12-15 characters might be quite a challenge for a first day.
Therefore, it's best if it's fewer characters.
The slab will be approximately 30 cm x 18.5 cm.
This can be adjusted to a smaller size onsite if you’d like.
Tools: Participants will be provided with all the necessary tools.
Material fee: 25€ to be paid directly to Pedi onsite.
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: No prior experience needed.
Minimum age: 16 years old
Workshops start after our morning circle around 9:30 am and end around 5 or 6 pm.
Pedi speaks German & English.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
