Thursday 6th - Eating Spoon Deep Dive with Nico de Wispelaere

€100.00

This intensive one-day workshop focuses on the design, functionality, and ergonomics of the eating spoon. It is intended for participants with prior experience in knife and axe work and is not suitable for complete beginners.
Throughout the day, we explore proportion, geometry, crank, and surface quality — and how these elements influence balance, comfort, and everyday use.
The workshop combines advanced knife techniques with refined axe work. Special attention is given to reading the grain, developing clean and intentional facets, and understanding how subtle shifts in angle and curvature affect ergonomics.
Beyond technique, this workshop aims to empower participants to develop their own design language. By strengthening technical control and deepening their understanding of form.

Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: It is intended for participants with prior experience in knife and axe work and is not suitable for complete beginners.

Minimum age: 16 years old

Workshops start after our morning circle around 9:30 am and end around 5 or 6 pm.

Nico speaks English, Dutch, & Flemish.

If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.

IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
