This year in addition to Raleigh & Oliver we have 3 staff who will be a part of going through scholarship submissions: Lena Bentele, Katharina Held, & Simon Ruhland. We read every submission carefully. If you are not selected this year, it is never a reflection of your worth — only of the limits of what we are able to offer.
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
During last year’s raffle/lottery we raised around 1,300€+ towards this year’s scholarships.
With the funds raised we are able to offer 2–3 all-inclusive scholarship tickets (parents, and families will be considered as well) — covering entry, shared meals, and 2-3 days of workshops (we have spaces held in some of the sold out workshops as well as those still with openings). These spots are intended for individuals living in Europe who would not otherwise be able to attend due to financial or personal limitations.
We’re asking you, our community, to nominate someone who might never imagine themselves at a gathering like this — someone who is often overlooked, who never gets a true break, and for whom even the idea of a work-trade feels like too much. Many of us are stretched, but we know there are others who are navigating far greater challenges.
If no one comes to mind but you feel this describes you, we also warmly welcome self-applications. It takes courage to ask for something for yourself, and we want to make space for that too. Recognising your own need is its own kind of generosity.
This is not about merit or visibility. Recipients will not be introduced at the festival unless they choose to share — only the staff team will know. We want these spots to be a quiet, generous offering. A chance for someone to rest, learn, and reconnect with themselves in a supportive space.
To nominate someone or apply for yourself, please fill out our application. We ask that you take a little time with it — your words help us understand who needs this most. There is no word count minimum or maximum, and imperfect writing is welcome.
We look forward to hearing from you,
Raleigh, Oliver, Katharina, Lena, & Simon
