Thursday 7th PM - Sharpening with Andreas Sauerbrey
The focus of this course is to teach simple methods and techniques for sharpening carving tools. Each participant will receive the necessary utensils to sharpen their own tools at home. We will mainly work with wet-dry paper, but also use oil stones.
Material fee: 10€ to be paid directly to Andreas at the festival
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: Open to All Levels!
Minimum age: 12+
Please bring your own tool(s) to sharpen in the class.
Afternoon workshops start following lunch at 2 pm and end around 5 or 6pm.
Andreas’ speaks German & English.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
