Thurs 7th-Friday 8th - Post & Rung Stool with Tilman Greiner
Wood is usually sawn after cutting, dried and only then further processed. In this course, we will use green wood, that is, freshly cut wood , which is basically easier to work with. The natural properties of the wood are utilized to produce a stool in post and rung construction without glue and using only hand tools. The finished seat is covered with a seaweed cord or a cotton belt. Previous experience is not required.
Material costs: 25€ or 48€ to be paid directly to Tilman depending on the seating material you choose.
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: Open to All Levels!
Minimum age: 16 years old.
Workshops start after our morning circle around 9:30 am and end around 5 or 6 pm.
Tilman speaks German and English.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
