Thursday 7th - Letter Carving in Wood with Jan Leuschner
Join me for a hands-on Wood Lettering Workshop, where you’ll learn the art of designing, carving and finishing custom lettering work on spoon handles! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned DIY enthusiast, this class will guide you through the process of selecting wood, transferring designs, and creating beautifully hand-lettered pieces.
In this workshop, you’ll:
• Learn basic lettering techniques and styles
• different knife grips
• Get tips on spacing, lettering, and embellishments
• Take home a personalized wooden spoon
All materials and tools will be provided—just bring your creativity! Perfect for personalizing your wood work and making it even more spezial, or just a fun creative experience. No prior experience needed!
You are welcome to bring a finished spoon, shrink pot, or other piece to work on.
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: Open to All Levels!
Minimum age: 16+ years old.
Workshops start after our morning circle around 9:30 am and end around 5 or 6 pm.
Jan speaks German & English.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
