Thursday 7th - Leather Sheath for a Carving Axe with Katy Schütte
Learn the technique of saddler's stitching with two needles and an awl, making a sheath to fit your own axe with a fillet to protect the stitching and an easy slide closure from hard vegetable tanned leather. Add your own personalized decoration.
Material fee: According to how much leather and thread you use materials will cost 5-10€
To Bring: You must supply your own carving axe.
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: Open to All Levels!
Minimum age: 16 years old
Workshops start after our morning circle around 9:30 am and end around 5 or 6 pm.
Katy speaks English & German.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
