Friday 8th AM - Kolrosing with Nico de Wispelaere
Join Nico to learn the fundamentals of the traditional and immersive decorating technique of kolrosing. We begin by refining a blank and spoon, making the surface smooth with finishing cuts. Nico will provide each student with a blank and rough carbid Spoon.
You’ll be introduced to the tools, different techniques, and design basics of this ancient Scandinavian decoration method. You’ll learn how to create balanced designs, inspired by traditional motifs or your own imagination.
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: Open to All Levels!
Minimum age: 16 years old.
Morning workshops start after our morning circle around 9:30 am and end around 1pm.
Nico speaks English, Dutch, & Flemish.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
