Mon 4th-Tues 5th - Kitchen Knife Forging with Sven Liebetrau
Forging a knife blade for a simple custom utility knife.
In addition to forging and grinding the blade, the course also includes hardening and tempering the knife and shaping the wooden handle. The experienced blacksmith Sven Liebetrau is available with advice and assistance and offers extensive expertise to forge an individual utility knife.
Material costs: 20€ to be paid directly to Sven at the Festival
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: Open to All Levels!
Minimum age: 12 year’s old
Workshops start after our morning circle around 9:30 am and end around 5 or 6 pm.
Sven's courses are in German with a little bit of English
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you don’t speak or understand German. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
