Monday 4th - Cooking Spoon Carving w/ Pirmin Lehr

€85.00
4 available

Join this workshop to learn and enjoy the satisfying process of carving your own cooking spoon which you can take home and will be great for use in your kitchen.

Starting with a split piece of green wood, you will learn how to use carving axe, knife and hook knife safely to shape a cooking spoon of your own design.
We will also cover the various carving tools themselves, how to sharpen them and how to choose a suitable species and piece of wood when carving at your own.
Depending on your progress you will be able to start or even finish a second spoon.

This one day workshop is perfectly suitable for total beginners in spoon carving. As Pirmin who teaches this course is a professional spoon carver, advanced carvers will also have opportunity to improve their carving technique on the way to more efficient production spoon carving of cooking spoons.
Feel free to bring your own carving tools with you but there will also be enough axes, knives and hook knives on site.
