Bowl Turning Taster with Jero Lehr
If you have been curious to try out bowl turning on a pole lathe but don’t want to commit to a whole workshop this is the perfect opportunity for you. Students will work in groups of 2-4 on a bowl. In one afternoon you will get to ‘taste’ the steps of turning a bowl on a pole lathe. The goal of this workshop is not to finish a bowl and we don’t guarantee any student going home with a bowl following this workshop.
You will share the process of axing, mounting the bowl on the lathe, turning the outside, the foot, and the inside of the bowl. We hope it will tickle your fancy for a future course in Pole Lathe Bowl Turning!
No prior experience needed.
Afternoon workshops start following lunch at 2 pm and end around 5 or 6pm.
The workshop will be taught in English & German.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
