Wednesday 6th - Beginners Spoon Carving with Andreea Grad
Join us for a beginner-friendly spoon carving workshop with instructor Andreea Grad. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to safely use carving tools to shape a functional wooden spoon from green wood. A spoon is a great place to begin carving—simple, useful, and endlessly satisfying to make. It’s a craft that invites patience, connection to material, and the joy of working with your hands. Andreea will guide you through tool technique, spoon design, and the meditative rhythm of carving. Leave with a finished spoon and the skills to continue carving on your own.
Tools are provided, or bring your own sloyd knife and hook knife. If you don’t have a carving knife we will have some for sale on site!
Skill Level/Prerequisite’s: Open to All Levels!
Minimum age: 16 years old.
Material costs: 5-10€ to be paid directly to Von Hand Organizers to cover the cost of wood and tool use.
Workshops start after our morning circle around 9:30 am and end around 5 or 6 pm.
Andreea's speaks English & Romanian.
If language is a barrier we are confident you will learn even if you speak or understand broken English. So much of the learning depends on seeing, feeling, and hearing the sounds as well.
IMPORTANT- Festival Tickets are booked separately and in addition to workshops. Please be sure you have booked your ticket before booking workshops!
